Hey guys! Happy August! Hope you’ve all been enjoying your summer. Our weekends have been packed and we have more fun to come before the summer is over. I just thought I’d pop in and do a little update on what we’ve been up to lately. This little blogging break has been much-needed and I have lots of post ideas and things in the works. I’m hoping to get back into the groove of things before too long!
+ First, this little break has allowed me to dive into lots of Etsy shop projects which makes me oh so excited! Just ask my husband, I spend nearly every minute of my free time working on my Etsy shop, including some new planner inserts coming soon. I’ll be sharing more on my planning system in general, but if any fellow bloggers are interested in testing + reviewing some printable planner inserts, let me know! I’m also still working on my rebrand, and it has been a very slow process. I hope to have it wrapped up before Logan goes to Kindergarten. Kidding! I hope. I just want to make sure to get it right this time! The shop rebrand soft launched earlier this week if you want a sneak peek – just keep in mind I’m still working on all the details!
+ We’ve been enjoying lots of family time this summer. We took Logan to his first aquarium over 4th of July weekend and my parents joined us. It was a hot mess – crowded, long lines, our trip went way over into naptime – but I think he still enjoyed it. He can now say “fish” so I think it was a success.
+ Michael and I went on a long weekend trip to Denver to attend the wedding of a friend of mine. It was so much fun to go back! When I met Michael and we first started dating I lived in Denver, so it was kind of fun to relive some of that. Denver has changed so much since then. I have a Denver Travel Guide in the works, so stay tuned!
+ Logan took his first couple of dips in our neighborhood pool in July and my little water baby loves it! I have zero pictures because we’re always in the pool with him, but it has happened. I’m considering putting him in swim lessons soon. Even though I used to teach swim lessons I still feel a little inadequate. I also have a 15 month update on Logan coming soon. He is getting so big and talking so much! It’s crazy how much he understands.
+ We’ve officially planned a family trip to Hilton Head and Charleston this fall for my birthday!! I’ll be 30 again this year. Oh fine, 31. Anyways, fingers crossed that we don’t get sick for the rest of the year because I have zero vacation days left. Ugh. We’ll be taking Logan along, so it’ll be our first family vacation with him and I’m equally excited and terrified! We’re flying and staying in a condo, so at least the condo is a little more friendly in terms of eating and sleeping. We’re also taking the grandparents along for reinforcements. #spoiled. If anyone has any recommendations of things to do in Hilton Head and Charleston with a 19 month old, please send them my way! Maybe some of my fellow Charleston blog mamas could meet up for a play date?
Linking up with these awesome gals.
