Oh What Fun Logan is One!

Oh What Fun Logan is One. First Birthday

Well you guys, I am really late to the party on this one – or rather, late to posting about the party here on the blog. I was a little hesitant to do so, but a boy’s first birthday must be documented!

We celebrated Logan’s first birthday on a sunny and warm Saturday in late April and it was a blast! Lots of family and friends came to celebrate the fact that we all survived year one. I tried to keep the food and decor as low key as my party-loving self would allow. There was no theme, just a fun and bright color palette! I, of course, was busy running around and didn’t get as many pictures as I’d like, but here’s what I did manage to snap and a few pics stolen from my husband! Next time I am doing a photo booth so I actually take pictures of people!

That was not the cake I envisioned when I ordered it, but oh well. Trying to explain a smash cake to a 70 year old woman did not go well, but the world did not in fact end and it tasted good!IMG_2269

I designed a lot of the paper decorations for the party – the banner of monthly photos, the chalkboard stats, guest book and thank you signs.

This face just cracks me up. We got the play mat out for a friend’s baby that was there and of course Logan decided to play on it. Oh What Fun Logan is One. First Birthday4Oh What Fun Logan is One. First Birthday3

He wasn’t too sure about the cake at first, but once I made him taste the frosting he really dug in!

Just two of my favorite guys in the world who both managed to smile and look at the camera at the same time. Miracle of miracles.
