 Currently.Fall

Hi long lost blog friends! Oh how I’ve missed you. I thought I’d catch up with one of these currently posts. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately. Currently…

Watching: Quantico. I am loving this new show, but I’m always a sucker for anything of the FBI/CIA genre. Yay for Fall TV! I’m also liking Blood and Oil and have been watching reruns of Dawson’s Creek. That Pacey Witter gets me every time.

Drinking: Lots of chai tea lattes. Yum! (My fall drink of choice. No PSLs for me.) Did you know that Starbucks uses this stuff that you can get in the grocery store for $5? That’s $5 for an entire container instead of per drink. You’re welcome.

Eating: I’ve finally found a greek yogurt that I’ll eat with pleasure (instead of the usual gagging). Actually Michael found it and made me try it. Because I’m 5. The raspberry flavor really helps!

Loving: My new barstools. I ordered three different sets and finally found ‘the one.’ I abandoned the upholstered look. My heart loves the tufted ones, but my head said I was being ridiculous and to get something that could stand up to dirty boys with sticky hands.

Worrying about: This little man and all his ear infections. We were clear of them for not even a week before we got another one and are on round 4 of antibiotics since he got his first one back in July. We’re going to see an ENT next week and we might get tubes. It’s just scary since he’s so little still! He’s been feeling much better this week, thankfully!

Wishing: The rest of my boxes would unpack themselves. The main areas are unpacked, but we still have lots of stuff in the garage and in my office and it seems never ending! Logan’s room is coming along nicely though! I’ve added some more decor in there, including these book ledges that you see all over pinterest. Love. I’ll do another nursery post once it’s all finished up!

Wearing: All the fall things. In particular I’m loving this sweater and tank combo from Old Navy and my new boots!

Anxiously awaiting: The arrival of my very first Stitchfix! Fingers crossed that at least one thing works for me. I’m also wanting to try Trendsend from Evereve.

Adding to my DIY list: All the cute word art I saw at Hobby Lobby the other day.

Chicago Weekend
Chicago Weekend

Looking forward to: One of my good friends is getting married in November in Chicago and the hubs and I are using that as an excuse for a little weekend getaway just the two of us! Can’t wait to catch up with old friends and for a little post bday/pre holiday fun with my man!

Thinking about: Befriending someone who can DIY me some pretty new furniture. Loving Home Sweet Ruby’s new coffee table and all the Shanty to Chic dining tables. Swoon!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! The hubs and I are going to a wedding Saturday night sans baby, so that should be fun. Other than that, no real plans. Hoping to make some more progress on the house though!

  • Glad baby boy is feeling better! I’m going to check out Quantico – everyone seems to be loving it! Although I already have way too many shows to keep up on lol! I’m not a PSL lover either, but if you like chai latte’s, ask them to add some pumpkin in at Starbucks – SO GOOD!!! Happy Friday!

I have about a bagillion DIY farmhouse tables pinned on my boards. I just need to get the hubby(and the dining room) to make one!

I love Logan’s bookshelves! They look great!

  • I’ve been loving Quantico too! It reminds me a lot of HTGAWM with all of the flashbacks, and it always leaves me wanting more!

  • Yessss to Oikos! The only greek yogurt, I’ll eat too and no artificial sweeteners! I call it my “Uncle Jesse” yogurt :)
