Five on Friday

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Today I’m posting to the Five on Friday blog link up. Β If you haven’t seen other bloggers post about it, it’s where you share 5 things from the week (5 things you’re loving, 5 things you did that week or anything you want). I’m just trying it out this week, but I thought it would be something different. Let me know what you think!

I accepted a job offer and had to run around like a crazy person this week taking drug tests, getting fingerprinted, getting a physical and getting tested for TB. It was ridiculous, but I got it done and am now onto more important job-prep tasks…like deciding what to wear. :)

With every new job, I always think I need a new wardrobe. And to think, I just stocked my SAHW wardrobe full of yoga pants, leggings and snuggly plaid shirts. Sigh. Hopefully my work pants still fit after being in elastic pants for 2 months. Oopsie.Β I’m not completely sure what other people in the office wear yet, so I’m holding back on buying anything at least until next week. But I’m thinking I could use some cute, dressy skinnies and a blazer. And I definitely need camel boots. I’ve been dying for a pair of camel boots!

My Man actually offered to go to yoga with me last weekend! (I was pretty shocked too.) I’m sure it was mostly a ploy to get me into the gym, but I was so excited! He’s never been to a yoga class before. (We tried a Jillian Michaels Yoga DVD before and that did not go well.) He did pretty well and I’m hoping to talk him into going again. He said it was pretty easy, but that he probably wasn’t doing it right. That’s kind of true – he has some work to do to be able to do the poses correctly, but I was just glad he gave it a shot! I love having a gym buddy!

I’ve been drooling over a clock like this for ages, but could not figure out where I would put it. This week a lightbulb went off and I thought of a place! Now I just have to find the perfect clock (one that isn’t $100 either, yowza).

I am kind of sad that I’m down to my last days of my “sabbatical.” I’m going to miss having the extra time to cook regularly, clean up everyday and time to blog and work on my Etsy shop. Hopefully I can find a better balance than I have in the past! I’ve stocked the freezer, so hopefully that will give me a head start. Now if only it would stop snowing so we can enjoy the weekend. Have a great one friends!!

  • Congratulations on the new job!! Figuring out what to wear is the exciting part, but everything is new to the people you’ll be working with – bright side!! Love that your man wanted to go to yoga with you!!

  • Congrats on the new job! I totally feel ya on wondering how clothes will fit after wearing elastic pants. I wear leggings and dresses a lot then realize I’m in trouble on days I have to wear “real” clothes for court or whatnot. Self-employment lets me make my own dress code and sometimes it’s bad!

    • Thanks Angela! I’m glad I’m not the only one with issues fitting into real clothes after lots of time in leggings! Thanks for visiting! Going over to your blog now…

  • Congratulations on the new job and good luck on the transition! I so hear you on getting comfy in your “at home” wardrobe… my dress slacks and such so did not fit when I just went back to work part time. Ekkkkkkkk.
