So, I’ll admit, I’m not doing the best job of keeping up with the blog and starting the wedding planning process at the same time, but I’ll try to do better! For now, I’d like to introduce Inspiration Wednesday. I thought it would be a fun way to share my ideas and inspiration here and what better day than hump day for a mid-week pick me up.
Now for the first post, and yes, it’s a wedding post. There will be many wedding related posts throughout the next year as that’s a big project I’ll be working on, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Outdoor Ceremony Inspiration –
It has always been my dream to have a pretty outdoor setting for my wedding ceremony, so for the last week I have been on the hunt for the perfect venue (Last week? Let’s face it – I’ve been on the search for years, even before My Man was in the picture. Doesn’t everyone do that? No? hmm…)
But, I think we may have found a venue that I can picture us getting married at – hooray! The venue has an arbor or a tree as ceremony backdrop options and I’m leaning towards the tree. Trees are apparently the new arbor. ha.
So, today I am sharing inspiration for outdoor ceremony decor. Below are some ideas I like and may or may not use. What do you think? Any other ideas?
I love this idea, but don’t know if the tree we have in mind will work for it.
This is another gorgeous tree backdrop idea. I don’t know if it’ll be dark enough at our ceremony to have the same look.
Pretty ribbons add a little extra something to your ceremony backdrop.
What do you think of this one? Someone told me (you know who you are!) that this looked like they’d toilet papered the tree. That isn’t exactly the look I’d go for…
These large flowers in containers make the ceremony entrance a little more dramatic.
I love the idea of lanterns and these flowers inside add a little more color.
Pretty sweet and simple candles.
